In 2026, New Yorkers will vote in elections that shape leadership at the federal, state, and city level. Below is a preview of upcoming elections and the offices that may appear on your ballot.
November General Election
The General Election is when all eligible voters can vote for the candidates who will hold office. New Yorkers may also vote on ballot proposals that address issues affecting the city or state.
What am I voting for?
Depending on where you live, your ballot may include candidates for:
- Governor/Lieutenant Governor
- State Comptroller
- Attorney General
- Representative in Congress
- State Senator
- Member of the Assembly
- Member of the City Council (District 3)
- Justice of the Supreme Court
